About
Brooklyn's Amel Larrieux and Bryce Wilson. 'Tell Me' (1995) is one of the great mid-90s neo-soul / new-jack singles — that bouncy mid-tempo and Amel's silky lead are basically a textbook example of where R&B was about to go. The self-titled debut is loaded; Amel's solo records ('Infinite Possibilities,' 'Bravebird') are one of the more overlooked great solo neo-soul catalogs. The duo split early; the legacy stayed.
